With some help from my nephew I think I have my web site working. Will do a little more tweaking and then I will re post the address.
I got my large practice maple leaf quilt off the frame this weekend and I plan on making a label today. I will take some pictures when I finish and post them.
I plan on loading a practice quilt on the frame and try my hand at pantographs later. How hard can it be!!!! LOL that is me laughing at the fact that their is a real learning curve to this long arm quilting. I was just getting good at my domestic machine and now I am learning all over again! But hey that is what keeps our minds alive!
I have been busy looking for ides for more quilts and it is mind boggling as to the variety out on the web and in magazines and books. I do not lack sources for ideas. My problem is I want to do most of them but I know that is next to impossible. Guess it is like chocolate "you just eat one piece at a time"!!!
Well this is all for now. Have the happiest of Holidays this Thursday and don not bother looking for ME at any mall because I will be home enjoying my sewing room!
Happy Thanksgiving LindaLou

Web Site Problems
I just finished writing a post and in a blink of an eye it was gone! I wonder if they end up in the same place that those missing socks go!!
Well over the weekend I discovered that my web site is not accepting sells. So I have worked on it and will hopefully have it fixed by tomorrow. That is the plan any way.
In the mean while I finished the burp cloths and receiving blankets. Today i will be taking pictures of those items.
Yesterday I also worked on a custom order. They will be applique names on fleece blankets. I will take pictures and post as soon as I can. It may not be till close to Christmas as they are gifts and we don't want to spoil and surprises!! But maybe I can post the samples so you get an idea of what they will look like.
This will be a busy week with sewing, visiting grand children and the a craft show at the end of the week with my girlfriend.
Bye for now LindaLou

Photo Shoot
This morning I spent time taking a few pictures. Now to load them and publish!
I am not a great photographer but I think it will show my products well. At least I hope so! Time to get back to work.

August
Boy a whole month has gone by. I am still working on my goal of products to open my web site. The site is built (thanks to my daughter) and is just waiting for photos so I can publish it.
I also bought a HQ Sixteen to do my quilting with. It has been a blast to practice with. Such a learning curve. It is so different to be moving the machine and not the fabric and the machine goes so much faster that you have to think of where you are going quickly. I guess that is where practice comes in. But I love it!
So today is a good day to finish up the outside painting projects so that next week I can devote most of it to my sewing. But you all know how that goes, their is still the weeds to pull the garden to tend to and cooking and cleaning!

Mid June
So what happened to the first half of the year? Is this an "age" thing or what?
Spent yesterday afternoon creating a web page with my daughter. Well I should say she was creating and I was giving input! We still have a few more sessions to go and then I will be up and running my business on line. I am trying to get it together for July but it may be a month out yet. By mid July and I will be happy.
I have a goal of about a dozen items in each category to start and then add to that as I go.
I am really getting excited about this and look forward to sharing my creative side with every one.
So for now .... time to get the machine needle humming!!!

I see that several people have looked at my site but no comments so far.
I have been working on ideas and finally finished my first quilt that I will be selling. I also made a crib sheet to go with it. Now to take pictures, post and price. Oh yeah I still need to link up to pay pal!
I have two other quilts that need the binding on and hopefully will get to them tomorrow night.
Today I spent the morning stitching on some pillow cases.
I also made some labels but I am not sure if they are exactly what I want or have the look I am going for. So I may change them.
So that is what has been happening around my quilting room for the past few weeks.
Hope you all have a nice weekend! LindaLouQuilt's

April Sunshine
I am just loving all the sunshine we have had this past two weeks. it is still chilly out (35) this morning so I am not rushing out to the yard. But I can hardly wait till it is 60's in the morning.
I was gone most of last week so while I was away I made a schedule. If you are going to treat this hobby of mine like a business you need to get your self on a schedule. So this week has been a bit more productive. I have managed to put together two small tops and I am in the process of putting one more together. So now the plan is to get them quilted next week. I will post pictures when I finish so you all can see what I have worked on so far.
So for now I will go in and piece a few strips together while the grand daughter sleeps.
Looking forward to next week.

The end of March? Already!
These past few weeks have gone by so quickly. And I haven't much to show for it. But that is the way of life. Working for your self is much different that for some one else. I was always their at least fifteen minutes before I had to be. Now I see things that should be done and put the business of crafting to the side.
So I have a goal for the month of April--
1st is to make a working plan and then stick to it. I will organize my work week so at the end I will have completed projects to post. I get side tracked easily so this will take a lot of effort on my part.
2nd is to get my labels made. I have two ideas pending.
I think that these are reasonable goals to set and concur!

Quilt Show
Sunday was the quilt show out in Monroe. Their are some real talented quilters out their. And hats off to all that put them selves out for public viewing! Just beautiful! Saw several that I wouldn't mind having . Girlfriend commented that I would need a house with a lot more bedrooms to show case all the ones I liked. What can i say I LIKE FABRIC and all things fabric related.
After talking to Nancy Chong I am finally going to get started on a Hawaiian needle turn pillow. Bought fabrics over a year ago in Hawaii just for that purpose. I have had the pattern for over five years!
This week I will get my resale certificate and then start looking into buying my fabric wholesale. I saw some wonderful soft baby flannels at the quilt show but at over 12 dollars a yard you cant price a quilt to cover expenses and make any profit.
Looks like a cold but beautiful day ahead.
Enjoy !
